Staying in a room with a garden view provided a nice touch of greenery, while the clean ensuite had complimentary toiletries that felt fresh. The Victorian architecture of the place adds a unique charm, making it a cozy spot to unwind after a day out.
Reaching the room meant tackling five flights of stairs, which could be taxing if you're not in the best shape, especially with a steep hill leading to the entrance. Parking is tricky, as spaces are limited in a dead-end street. once you're parked, it's wise to stay put. The radiator remained stubbornly on at night, which made the room a bit warm, though I could crack a window. Some amenities felt a bit neglected. a broken four-poster bed frame and missing saucers for tea cups didn't quite meet expectations. no fire safety information was visible, which could help in case of emergencies.

The views from the dining room are spectacular, allowing guests to take in the beauty of the seafront while enjoying breakfast, which includes a good variety of options. parking is quite challenging if you have a larger vehicle, and be prepared for steep steps without a lift. The room, though clean and nicely decorated, felt a bit worn, and it’s worth noting that sash windows are low and very accessible for small children, so supervision is necessary.

Room decor needs a refresh!!! Thin walls allow every conversation to intrude on privacy, and the tight parking situation creates hassle for arrivals and departures!!!

Our family had a wonderful stay! The hotel provided an amazing sea view from our room, which was perfect for relaxing while my little ones napped. The breakfast selection was extensive, and the kids loved the freshly cooked options, especially the pancakes!
For dads, it would be great if the curtains were thicker.
